I enjoyed reading your blogs entries about “Studying English”. From reading your blogs, I felt that you all enjoy English and other foreign languages very much. And, I was very impressed with your ideas for studying English!
I really sympathize with the difficulties you feel when studying English. Yurika, Yukie, Hiroki, Chisato, Takaaki and Shotaro talked about the difficulties of English pronunciation. Ayano, Yoko, Toshiro, Yasuhiro T. and Yuki talked about having trouble with speaking. Kumiko, Chisato, Naoya, Shotaro, Natsumi and Yuri feel that listening is difficult. Kumiko, Hiroki, Naoya, Shotaro and Takaaki believe that vocabulary is the most difficult part of studying English, while Hiroki, Akihiro and Reiji think that grammar is challenging. Shihori thinks that everything about English is difficult, and Daigo said that learning not to hate English is hard. I totally agree with your opinions.
I think you had some very good ideas for studying English. You all agree that using or coming into contact with English EVERY DAY is extremely important. Yurika, Takaaki and Yuri suggest watching English-language movies, Ayano, Takaaki and Yuri recommend watching English-language tv shows, and Yukie, Chisato, Ayano, Takaaki and Yuri think that listening to English-language music is a great way to practice English. Yasuhiro T., Yuri, Hiroki and Reiji believe in the importance of practicing listening, and Yoko, Shihori and Yuki recommend listening to English textbook CDs every day. Yukie recommends actually going to an English-speaking country and making friends, while Yoko and Yuki also think that talking with foreigners is a good method. Kumiko thinks it’s good to practice English conversation, and Takaaki recommends speaking in English. Naoya recommends shadowing, Shotaro suggests studying vocabulary and Toshiro believes in the importance of reading. But, as Akihiro, Hiroki, Reiji and Natsumi say using creating opportunities to use and come in contact with English every day is crucial to become accustomed to English (Yuki). Hirotaka reminds us that it is also important to have a good understanding of our native language. But, as Daigo says, in the end, enjoying English is probably most important.
Thanks for your ideas, everyone!! And, keep studying English!!

Okay, on to this week’s topic. Do you have a dream for the future? Do you have any goals that you want to achieve? It is very important to have dreams and goals. These can be ideas about your “dream job” or even things that you want to do or experience during your life. Having dreams and goals helps us to plan for our future. It is very important for university students in particular to have dreams and goals. It can sometimes be difficult for us to decide what our dreams are. And, sometimes, or dreams and goals can change. For this week’s blog homework, I want you to write about your dreams and goals for the future.
As for me…When I was a high school student, I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do in the future. But, I knew I wanted to study at university, so I tried hard to enter my dream university. When I was in the second year of high school I went to Japan for 10 days, and stayed with a Japanese home stay family for 3 days. This experience helped me to realize that I wanted to go to Japan again in the future, and that I wanted to become able to speak Japanese fluently. So, I studied Japanese at high school and university, and in my third year of university I went on exchange in Japan for one year. And now I work in Japan! So, I guess I have kind of realized this dream.
At the end of my first year of university, I started to think that I wanted to work at a university in the future. I thought that I might want to teach about Japanese society or the Japanese language, or that I might want to work in the international affairs section of a university. And by luck… now I am working at a university! So, I guess I have kind of achieved this dream too.
I think I have been very lucky so far. And have realized many of my goals. But… I think as we get older, we have to keep changing our goals and dreams so we can live with some hope and excitement for the future. I guess my next goal is to help other people achieve their dreams and goals. I think that this is one job of a teacher. Having a goal for the future, no matter how big or small it is, gives us hope!!
So, please write about 150 words by next Monday (November 30) midnight. Please read the blog entry of the person who wrote before you and give them a small comment. Also, please try to read as many of your classmate’s blog entries as possible.
Have a good week,
Kris
My name is Hiroki Toyama.
返信削除Because of your blog,I guessed that having next dream like you is great.
My dream in the future is to work as officer in region. Because my father is officer in my hometown. He works for local people like me every day. I respect him. Because of his work,I want to work for local people as officer.
Another reason which I want to work as officer is to experience various jobs. Officers work various job every three or four years. For example, care, medical services and architecture. I guessed that experiencing a lot of jobs is to become my treasure. Because it is useful to get a lot of qualification and qualification is very important to work.
From these reasons,I want to work as officer. And my next goal in the future is to help my hometown and local people as officer.
I’m Shihori Nakayama.
返信削除Your dream is the same as mine. I would like to become officer in region, too.
But I don’t hold to work as officer in region. I’m interested in care supporting and I want to be concern with care work. I consider other jobs. For example, I work at the medical brotherhood or at private enterprises.
It isn’t possible for me to work as a care worker because of physical problems. I have suffered from backache since I was elementary school student. So I’m not able to offer physical care and it is difficult to turn working as the care worker. Only support for the housework isn’t enough to work as the care worker.
If I become officer in region, I want to improve working environment of welfare to against lack of care worker in aging society.
Thank you for reading.
Hi, Shihori. Your dream is very nice. Welfare and medical will be more and more important in an aging society.
返信削除We will become working members of society a few years later, so we ought to consider our futures from now on.
I want to become a consultant of management in the future. Today, the number of entrepreneurs has increased in recent years because the system related capital was abolished. Young men from their twenties to thirties have burning ambitions to succeed. However, it is difficult for them to succeed by themselves. Therefore, I want to help them with a lot of fields, for example, planning finance, thinking about risk management or disposal of various taxes. In addition, I want to work with a lot of people. I need get skill and qualified as a consultant while I am a university student. I would like to fulfill my dream in the end.
Thank you for reading. Akihiro Hayashi
You are dream is very nice. I respect your dream. Good luck to you.
返信削除My dream is having a good stable home, so I ought to study and take part in club activities hard while I am a university student. In addition I want to get a good job. I would like to find a job which is fit my hope. I want to get the job related to sports because I have played baseball since I was a child, so I have a lot of knowledge about them. If I become a working member of society, I want to make use of my knowledge. Therefore, I make effort every day in order to realize my dream. If I were very good at playing baseball, I would be a major league baseball player now.

Hi,akihiro. Your dream is very nice. I think that his dream should become the reality.
返信削除I want to live a stable life in the future. For that reason at first, it is to graduate from a university. I am not good at English. So, I only care is take credits in English. Second, it is to do job hunting from the early time. I want to find a job in the major company, because a lot of money is available. But, reality is different. Today’s business condition is very bad, so it must be very difficult for me to find a job. However, I can not give up my dream. In my plan, I will be a rich person in the future. OH, it is joke.
Thank you for reading. Ayato Nakamura
Your dream is very nice, I hope you would it come true.
返信削除My concrete dream is nothing yet. I remark its reason as follows.
My first dream was “Artist”. My family line is good at paint.
My father always teaches how to paint for his friends, and in fact, he is a good painter.
He says “my big brother is by far the most painters, and his works are as if it were a picture.”
I like painting too and I must be entered university-related Art.
But a university of fine arts cost nearly two times rather than other university tuition, so I was obliged to give up study hard for Art because my family’s income isn’t adequate for enter university.
Afterwards, I gave up various dreams whenever I find it.
As a result, I chose Shimonoseki university where doesn’t cost much, but I thought this choice was correct.
Shidai is freedom very much, so I can challenge various things.
Little by little, I have been pursuing an old dream of mine one by one, and for the first time I noticed that dream which can accomplish isn’t genuine dream, but a mere goal.
Finally, I believe dreams exist for become strong, and dreams have been keeping pace with it.
Naoya Nakamura
Hi, I’m Takaaki. Your idea is thought-provoking. I hope you will find your concrete dream.
返信削除And now, I will tell you about my dream. I also don’t have concrete goal in the future.
So, I enter this university to find my own dream and I’m looking for the dream or goal. But I haven’t found them..
And I understand that it’s very hard for me to have dreams or goals right now. I also have learned catalyst is needed. But I know having dreams or goals make my life better and more enjoyable. That’s why I’m looking for my own dream or goal and I would like to find them as soon as possible I can.
In order to accomplish it, I think it’s necessary for me to have various experiences. For example, working part-time, listening to other people talk, gaining many things and so on.
Thank you for reading.

One of things I want to do is being keen to my hobbies. I wish I could turn the hobbies into a job but it may be difficult.
Another is supporting as many people as possible without being paid. Thanks to my friends, family and the people around me, I can live a happy life. Now, I want to help someone.
