Hi everyone,
Thanks for your blog comments last week. They were very enjoyable to read. You all had many reasons for liking autumn. Hiroki, Yasuhiro H., Yurika, Ayata, Yoko, Akihiro, Kaori, Narifusa, Hikari, Shiho, Toshiro, Yuri and Yasuhiro T. all said they loved food available during autumn. Hiroki, Yasuhiro H., Chisato, Takaaki, Hikari, Toshiro, Yuki and Yasuhiro T. said that they enjoy the cool and comfortable autumn weather. Many of you also like the atmosphere of autumn: the air, the sounds, the smells, the wind, the sky and the moon (Ayano, Hikari, Chisato, Saki, Yuki, Kousei, Toshiro, Ayano, Saki, Naoya and Yurika). Akihito and Narifusa like travelling during autumn, Takaaki likes climbing mountains, Ayato, Reiji and Yoko like playing sports and participating in sports festivals, and Hikari likes sleeping in autumn. Natsumi said that she likes autumn events, but she was the only person who doesn’t like autumn! I like autumn, but actually I agree with her. Autumn can feel a little lonely.
You all also have many things that you’d like to do this autumn. Many of you (Naoya, Kousei, Yukie, Ayato, Yoko, Reiji, Takaaki, Shiho and Toshiro) are looking forward to catching up on your reading. Kousei, Toshiro, Yukie, Yoko, Hideaki, Kaori and Shiho all want to go travelling and see the colorful maple leaves. Hiroki, Yukie, Yasuhiro Hl, Akihiro, Yuki and Yasuhiro T. are looking forward to playing sports, and Yukie, Yasuhiro H., Yoko, Kaori and Kousei are looking forward to eating delicious autumn foods. Shihori would like to do some cooking and to try preserving foods. Yurika would like to experience Halloween. Yuri wants to watch some movies or dvds. Akihiro wants to get his license so he can go traveling. Hiroki, Yukie and Natsumi are looking forward to the school festival. And, Ayano, Toshiro, Hikari and Chisato are all looking forward to seeing the meteor shower. This was last night, wasn’t it? I hope you all managed to see it!! Have a great autumn!

Some people say that the Democratic Party won because many people were sick of the Liberal Democratic Party and wanted a change. Others say that people were moved by the Democratic Party’s “manifesto” and their promises and vision for social change in Japan. Whenever I turn on the TV these days, I constantly hear people talking about the Democratic Party’s new policies, for example ”こども手当て－Child Benefit Payments”, “高校無料化－Free high school education”, “高速道路の無料化－Toll-free highways”, “税金のムダづかいを無くす－Eliminating wasteful use of taxpayer’s money”, etc etc etc.
In this week’s blog, I want you to answer this question: What do you want the government to do? In other words, what kind of policies do you want the government to introduce? Any ideas are okay!! Please share your opinions!!
Here's my idea: In Japan we must make “welfare pension” (厚生年金), “national pension plan” (国民年金) or “mutual pension” (共済年金) payments every month. I too have to pay nearly 30,000 yen every month for this!! In my country, Australia, we don’t make “welfare pension”, “national pension plan” or “mutual pension” payments. Instead we have “superannuation” (退職年金？？) and it is compulsory for all workers to pay superannuation payments every month. Also, the company we work for also has to pay some money to our superannuation fund. The main benefit of superannuation is that the money you pay comes back to you, and people generally use this money to live off of when they retire. There is also an “age pension” (高齢年金) given to people 65 years and over who need it. This is funded by the government’s “general revenue” (一般歳入). Anyway, I wish Japan would introduce a “superannuation system” like my country, Australia. 返信削除I hope that your country will make superannuation system like Japan. And your life will be happy. I want the government to do many things. For example,cutting tax,increasing holidays and restoration of business. First of all,I want the government to cut tax because it is free for Japanese people to shop. I like shopping but I can not shop freely with high tax. If the government does stimulative measures,we can shop freely than now. Second,I want to increase holidays. If we get many holidays than now,we spend more time with our friends. Finally,I hope restoration of business. It is very important for our future. If the government does not do nothing,we can not get a job. I am expecting the new government by change of regime. These hopes are things which I want the government to do.

I want to the government to do two things. They are “Toll-free highways” and ”Ease the tax burden on the people”.
I hope to free highway’s toll. I’m living apart from my family. If the government free highway’s toll, my family can visit to Shimonoseki from my hometown Kumamoto frequently.

The change of government in last summer was big news.
Today, there are lots of problems in Japan, Accordingly, new government are expected to take drastic measures against them. I think that the Democratic Party ought to adopt “Free high school education” first of all. When I strolled around the Kokura station, many boys and many girls did the collecting of contributions on the street to help children who had lost their parents. One girl said, “We want to study a lot. However, we can’t do it due to money.” I realized going to school is spent more money than we think usually. The government must not rob them of their hope and future. The government should go ahead with financial support, for example, Free high school education. I want new government to solve not only the problem of financial support, but also other problems. However, no one can do a lot of things at the same time, so I want new government to perform politics fit for present needs of the people.

First,I want government to target free making the expressway only to the track and bus.If a lot of cars come to pass,carbon dioxide and vehicle exhaust emission will increase.It is not good for environment.Instead,I want to reduce the fare of ship and train,because I think using these vehicle is better for environment.
Second,Recently,people who do not have work or money either is increasing,and they are suffering.So,in order to get work,the subsidize for vocational training must be made complete.

I think that our living standard will be comfortable if holidays are increase than now.
And we are apt to shop if the government admits the cutting tax.
But, in addition, I do hope that the government revives the current economy because we will suffer from the bad times when we do job hunting.
It is difficult for even Obama president who graduated from Harvard University to revive the current economy.
Many people blame that he is not appropriate for president, but I do not think so.
Even if anyone does it, the result is the same.

I think now we spend hard time too.
I’ m sure that now Japan is stuck in recession. The unemployment rate in Japan is up over 5%. Therefore, it is difficult to find a job. And if we can do so, there is likelihood of getting laid off. Thus, I want the government to ameliorate employment issues as many as possible.
In addition, I hope the government will resolve pension problems and prohibit high-ranking government officials obtaining executive posts in private firms with which used to do business.
I guess existing pension system of Japan will fall apart, because of declining birthrate and a growing proportion of elderly people.
It’s imperative that preventing retired government officials from preferential treatment in their new positions or for their businesses.
These questions are very difficult to work out, but must be done.

I want the government to “Eliminating wasteful use of taxpayer’s money”. And I desperately want do the improvement of our living. In addition, I want the government to do adsorption of government bonds till now. The Democratic Party’s “manifesto” is included in many important elements for people’s lives. But if the government don’t secure ample revenue, the Democratic Party’s “manifesto” is impossible to realize. So I think that the government has to examine making of the best use of idea of Primary balance. If the government aim increase in tax revenue for securing revenue, the government should do various measure aims at economic recovery. I am looking for the economy to make a recovery. And I hope to improve the life of the citizens. For the time begin I want to watch future developments.

返信削除I expect two policies from the government. First, there are free high school educations. I think that the child grows up and costs money. So, when a child is small, money is not about to remain. In other words, Free high school education is necessary not Child Benefit Payments. Second, I expect the abolition of the gasoline tax. I have a car. I think that the price of the present gasoline is very high. The cause is gasoline tax. Higher than half of the price of the gasoline are gasoline taxes. I understand that gasoline tax is necessary. But, I had better be cheap for a consumer.
How about my opinion? If this becomes the reality, I seem to have slightly good life.

Recently,the japanese economy is getting worse,and many bad problem happened.I think what is particularly important is the problem of employment.

Highway tolls are very high for the university student.

There are two things that I want the new government to do.

Whenever I hear political news from TV or newspapers, I’m irritated by government.
I think they waste of finance too much and they don’t see what they have to do first of all, so what I want government to do is reviewing use of revenue.
There are a lot of wastes for example, useless city building, and too high politicians’ salaries and so on. Therefore, people who really need supports don’t get support systems.
However, I also expected new government party. They were saying “government discharge of pus” I want to believe the speech, there will be no corruption in government and improving benefit systems for single mother and working

返信削除I go to elementary school twice a week to support handicapped children as a volunteer.
Last week, I was asked to watch an autistic girl. We took the lesson not in special-needs class but in mainstream class. Then, I noticed children’s cold manner toward her. I think that they don’t know how to communicate with handicapped people. Therefore, I want the government to introduce ‘inclusive education’.
Inclusive education is a policy that handicapped children receive every lesson in the mainstream class. Spending more time with handicapped people enables them to understand the disabilities. Removing the distance between the two is an important first step to improve Japan.
Anyway, I expect the government to carry out various policies on education of handicapped children.
